Friday Fiesta Tapas (Rodizio)
Journey Through Mozambique
ALL-YOU-CAN EAT TAPAS.
SHARING NOT ALLOWED. We all know Mozambicans are crazy about petiscos (tapas). Well, ok: who doesn’t like tapas, right? Tapas are tapas! Enough said. But why is it that Please Tapas are the ones that came up with the best all you can eat tapas concept in Designer Quarter? As much as South Africa loves tapas, we got to say that the Please Tapas Bar is a great concept for tapas lovers ..... a Tapas “Rodizio”! Why settle for 1 or 2 tapas as a regular concept when you can eat as many different styles as you’d like in a rodizio style restaurant? Clearly this is a Brazilian steakhouse concept which has been drilled down into tapas too! The style of service is similar to the all-you-can-eat model found at a Brazilian churrascaria (steakhouse). Guests are first seated at a table by the host and offered a service card, which they use to signal wait staff to bring food to their table. From there, they can make a trip to the plexi-glass surrounded salad bar, behind which a staff member fills your plate with your choice of greens, toppings, and dressings, along with a few pre-made traditional Brazilian salads. Once seated again, freshly baked pizzas are delivered to the table. Guests can sample as many as they like; and service continues until the diners signal that they are finished eating by turning over their service card. At that point, the table receives a bill for the set-price meal and any add-ons. Bookings are essential.
